Internship opportunities

We are always looking to recruit bright researchers on a paid internship basis. In this role you will keep the Public Affairs team up to speed in respect of political and policy developments by analysing information and producing concise clear briefing materials alongside assisting with the running of projects. This opportunity will provide an excellent platform to learn about and develop a career in public affairs. We are looking for someone who has the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of national, regional and local government and parliamentary processes; including knowledge of leading political personalities and wider
  • political stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • IT literacy
  • Research experience

The following skills and experience would be desirable but are not essential:

  • Familiarity with research methodologies
  • Knowledge of public policy issues
  • Understanding and experience of stakeholder mapping
  • Understanding/experience of market research techniques
  • Political degree/ interest in politics
  • Experience working within the political arena, perhaps working as a researcher for an MP/councillor.

Account Managers (Property and Planning Team)

Our 21-strong Engagement team delivers effective public consultation and stakeholder engagement programmes for a wide range of clients, including national house builders, retailers and utilities.

The Account Manager role is key within that team, delivering the day-to-day management of client accounts with strategic support from an Account Director.

As someone with drive and initiative, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing creative engagement programmes in support of your clients’ objectives. Your work will include direct liaison with stakeholders and members of the public and you will be expected to produce concise and compelling collateral material.

While the majority of your work will focus on programmes designed to secure consent for planning applications, there are also opportunities to work on wider public affairs campaigns dependent on your knowledge and experience.

Your management will extend not just to client accounts, but also to the work of your assigned Account Executives and Interns.

You will:

  • Have an understanding of the property and planning sector and of how local government works
  • Be an excellent communicator with strong writing and inter-personal skills
  • Demonstrate, drive, commitment and a focus to producing work of the highest standard
  • Have attention to detail, excellent workload management and be a good team player
  • Have experience of managing people
  • Be prepared to work anti-social hours on occasion

An interest, or involvement, in politics would be an advantage but is not essential.

Senior Account Executives (Property and Planning Team)

If you are ambitious and commercially minded, skilled at what you do and care about success then we would like to hear from you.

We are looking for an additional Senior Account Executive to work within the property and planning team at Remarkable. Excellent communication skills are a must and a knowledge and interest in property, planning, local government and community relations are desirable.

You will support day-to-day activities in the Winchester office, such as research, communication management, exhibition support, stakeholder and media briefings.
